A-Rid-A-Pest
Privacy Policy
Version 1.0
This policy describes information handled through aridapest.com, its booking tools and the A-Rid-A-Pest office application. A-Rid-A-Pest operates these services for its business. We do not process QuickBooks information on Intuit’s behalf.
1. Information we collect
- Bookings and inquiries: name, phone number, email, service address, unit and ZIP code, property details, pest issues, requested services, appointment times, contact preferences and notes.
- Service records: technician assignments, inspection and treatment details, visit outcomes, follow-up instructions, uploaded photos or PDFs, acknowledgements, signatures, agreed charges and invoice references. Avoid including unrelated personal or sensitive information.
- Office access: account identifiers and email addresses supplied through sign-in, staff permissions, and records of application actions and changes.
- Connected QuickBooks accounts: company identification, customer and service-item records retrieved for enabled functions, authorization tokens, and sandbox test-invoice identifiers and results. Production invoice creation and payment collection are currently disabled.
- Technical information: information needed to serve and protect the website, such as IP addresses, request and error information, and traffic statistics supplied by our hosting platform.
2. How we use information
We use this information to respond to requests, arrange appointments, provide and document pest-control work, communicate service updates, support office review and enabled billing functions, resolve problems, and protect the application. Connected QuickBooks information is used only to provide the requested application functions, not for advertising or sale.
3. Who receives information
Authorized office personnel can access business records. Technicians have access to reports assigned to their authorized accounts. Appointment messages may be sent to the customer and configured business recipients.
Our website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting, sign-in, data storage and file delivery; Microsoft 365 for connected calendars and email; and Intuit QuickBooks for authorized accounting functions. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. If you follow a link to the legacy GoDaddy scheduler or another external service, that provider’s privacy practices also apply. Providers may process information in locations outside your state or country.
We may also disclose information when you authorize us to do so, when required by applicable law, or as reasonably necessary to investigate misuse and protect people or the service.
4. QuickBooks authorization and disconnection
An authorized company representative must approve the QuickBooks connection through Intuit. The app requests accounting access; its current production functions read company, customer and service-item information. Sandbox testing is separate from the real company. Intuit handles its own sign-in credentials; the application stores encrypted authorization tokens rather than your QuickBooks password.
You can revoke the app’s authorization through your QuickBooks account or contact the office for help. Revocation stops further authorized access. Disconnecting does not automatically delete previously stored records or records held in QuickBooks. Contact us to request their review or deletion.
5. Cookies and security
Sign-in and connection flows use cookies or similar browser mechanisms to maintain sessions and protect authorization. Blocking these may prevent office sign-in or account connection. Hosting services also provide operational and traffic information.
The application uses HTTPS, server-side access checks, private service-report file access and encryption of stored QuickBooks tokens. No system can guarantee complete security. Contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. Do not enter passwords or payment-card details in booking notes or report uploads.
6. Retention and your requests
Booking and service records are retained for operational, accounting, dispute-resolution and applicable recordkeeping needs. Cancelling an appointment or archiving a report does not automatically erase its history. Provider systems and backups may retain records separately.
Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about retention of a specific record. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or legitimate recordkeeping purposes; we will explain any applicable limitation when responding.
7. Updates and contact
We will update this page when these practices change. Material changes to connected-account data use will be disclosed before that new use, with further authorization where required.
For privacy questions or requests, contact A-Rid-A-Pest at info@aridapest.com or (773) 538-8553. Please identify the relevant service date, property or account without sending passwords or financial credentials.
